A Celebration for Toledo’s Own King of 88 KEYS – ART TATUM

“Pianos for ART – Play it on !”

Pianos for ART is an interactive community-wide project to honor Art Tatum created by the ART TATUM JAZZ HERITAGE SOCIETY.

TATUM PIANOS

Families and individuals throughout our area have donated their gently used pianos to honor ART TATUM.

These pianos are turned into “art” by area artists – all to celebrate and honor ART and his art of the piano.

After the PIANOS FOR ART celebration – the pianos will be auctioned to benefit the ART TATUM JAZZ HERITAGE SOCIETY.

PLAY IT FOR “ART”

The PIANOS  are for playing–  by everyone, a musical star, an emerging musicial star… your own exploration or amusement.

Sit down and play it for ART. Show your prowess, flex your fingers and have a miniature concert or just have fun and Play It – for the magic of the moment to celebrate Toledo’s ART.

The completed pianos have begun the cacophony of joyous music to honor Tatum, Toledo’s Treasure. The party is underway: Join the Celebration…play a piano!
